This is a developing body of work that is distinctly different from my pottery or other sculpture.  While these works do address some of the same concepts as my other series, they do so in a more formal way. 

Each form begins with only a foggy notion of what it will become, and the process of slowly building with coils of clay allows the work to grow organically. Thus, I am able to make thoughtful decisions about form, surface, angles and volumes- reacting to my choices as each piece evolves.
